Reprocussions

I'm enjoying writing and publishing in relative obscurity at the moment. I check the blogger.com stats and I don't get too many unique visitors to this blog. However, writing the last entry about my former mother-in-law piqued my wife's curiousity. She started balling all over again when she read it and told me I need to fix some factual errors before she mailed the entry to her friends and friends of Joyce. This had the effect of a few things...

1. I needed to figure out how to edit a published entry. Up until this point, none of the entries were edited after publishing. So weeks later, I could revisit some really badly edited entries and do nothing about it. The entry was finished, and I would not bother adjusting  it. However now... well I'll be tempted to clean things up alittle. Given I am trying to write short essays in 30-60 minutes, I wonder if I will get sloppier?

2. I don't think Jackie had read much of anything in the blog, so I could, up till the last entry, complain about her or family life in relative obscurity. I could have been spilling the beans in a sort of self therapy. Now, not so much. After reading about the final shuttle launch, she went back and read other entries. I didn't hear any complaints. She did mention worrying about offending the sensibilities of her mother's friends. But I suspect if they knew Joyce, they'd be alright.

3. Jackie did suggest a title change to the blog. So ta-dah! I shortened it, dropping the bad TV part. She suggested just Random Musings, but I thought that was very generic.

Short entry tonight. I need to get some work things done, and then hit the sack.

I am happy that I worked on my screenplay for the first time since late April. New idea popped into my head and made it onto the page.

And finally, yes, I did use the edit button on this entry tonight. Doh!
