I find it funny that people think you can just throw more assets at a problem and make it go away. At the heart of the matter is the act of artistry. How many artists can work the same canvas? MH is a very large canvas (think any original Disney cartoon), most of which needs to be funnel through a couple of channels (Walt himself + feature director/exec producer) before it gets broken down into component parts for worker bees (think old fashioned animation cell painters).
Second, if you haven't worked in modern competitively priced development environments then you may be surprised what work is actually done in the US versus outsourced to a country with "cheaper" but timeshifted engineering/testing. What that means is big changes take weeks to implement/test. Do you think there are people in the US working at all hours getting this done? There are some, but I bet its not all that's neccessary to implement change on a game this scale. Hotfixes are done by other teams and then retested here.
Maybe it is time to feed the gaming addiction something else, like a good book. Try below.

The above is a saved post from the forums of the online game Marvel Heroes. I'm pretty sure the original thread is going to get deleted because they don't allow threads like that. And then I realized that after I wrote those two simple paragraphs I was all kinds of worked up.
